| Dr. Tom Thompson |
Dr. Tom Thompson has been practicing in Cobb County since 1987. He received his B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from The State University of West Georgia in 1981 and a M.S. in Microbiology from The University of Georgia in 1983. Dr. Thompson continued his education at The University of Georgia , where he received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1987.
Dr. Thompson is a general practitioner with special interests in orthopedic surgery and internal medicine. He is a member of the Cobb Veterinary Association, Georgia Veterinary Association, Greater Atlanta Veterinary Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Tom Thompson served on the board of directors for the Cobb Emergency Veterinary Clinic and the Cherokee Emergency Veterinary Clinic for three years. Dr. Thompson served on the board of directors for Friends of Gilmer County for 4 years and continues to be the sole veterinary supporter of Homeward Bound Pet Rescue in Gilmer County.
When Dr. Tom Thompson is not serving the community or practicing veterinary medicine, he is spending time with his wife, Kate, and son, Matthew. He enjoys photography, gardening , and scuba diving.
Dr. Thompson currently has one canine family member; Channelsen. Dr. Thompson rescued Channelsen after the male cockapoo was diagnosed with blindness at birth. |

| Dr. Scott Delong |
Dr. Scott Delong has been with us since 2002. He received his B.S. in Biology from The University of Georgia in 1997. Dr. Delong began studying veterinary medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998, and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The University of Georgia in 2002.
When Dr. Delong is not caring for our pets, he is spending quality time with his wife, Charlotte, and son Evan. His hobbies include camping, motorcycles, aviation and photography.
Dr. Delong has 3 canine companions; Pup, Sherman, and Riley. He also has 3 feline companions; Keeks, Simon and Baby. |
