Christina Carlin - Hospital Administrator
Christina’s lifetime love of animals drove her to begin a career in the field of veterinary medicine in 1999. She started with our organization as a Client Care Specialist and Veterinary Assistant but quickly moved into management. She now acts as the Hospital Administrator for our hospitals.
Christina earned her degree in Business Administration in 2009. She has trained extensively in animal hospital management locally and at national conferences. She is an active member of the GAVMA and VHMA. Christina feels like she has the PERFECT job! She is able to blend her passion for animals with her love of business, management, marketing, and human resources.
Christina enjoys spending quality time with her husband Jeff and their two children. She rescued her Labrador, Marshall, from Paulding County Animal Control in 2017. She is also a “grandmother” to 3 adorable guinea pigs; Pumba, Wilber, and Piglet.
Amarilis Montlavo-Ortiz- Hospital Administrator
Amarilis came to us with a strong marketing background and has been passionately working with animals in the veterinary field since 2012. She started with our organization as an Administrative Assistant and was then promoted to practice manager due to her ability to excel in office and clinic duties.
Amarilis has attended several courses regarding management, inventory, marketing, and human resources and applies them daily. She has enjoyed being able to learn more about veterinary medicine with the help of her co-workers because she enjoys seeing people perform at their best.
When she is away from the hospital she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and 3 boys. She loves playing board games and watching movies with her family. She also loves cuddling and smooching on her pets 6 pups and 2 snakes.
Frank Ortiz- Head Dog Trainer/ PlayCare Supervisor
Frank Ortiz is a dog trainer who has a strong passion for rehabilitating dogs. Anyone who meets Frank can see his compassion and strong desire to make life better for dogs. He finds the root of the problem, whether it be fear, anxiety, or boredom, and works with you and your pet to eradicate bad behaviors. Frank can change not only your pet’s life, but also your own life.
Kari Deyo, RVT - Surgical Technician
Kari has been working as a technician since 1986. She received her RVT from Columbus State Community College in 2000. She has worked in several areas of veterinary medicine during her career, but her main focus has been surgery in veterinary specialty hospitals. After moving to Georgia from Ohio in 2009 she has worked mostly in private practice to allow her more family time. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, dogs and horse. She is always busy with her children's activities which include soccer and eventing.
